Warm welcome!

Welcome to meet three Dandie Dinmont Terriers - Aatu (mustard dog), Ella (pepper bitch) and Mira (mustard bitch). They may look a bit funny with their long and low body and long "hair" on their heads but they truly are terriers. Happy and lively ones just like dandies usually are. They share their home with few cats and human as well.

Our dogs have two main hobbies as you pehaps can see from photos we have on our pages. They go outing a lot and they have ofcourse also conquered not only our hearts but also soffas and beds. So they live with us like family members and ofcourse same goes with cats also - they are family members as well.

Dandie is a quite rare breed world wide and Finland is no exception. Many dog books has only few lines about dandies so we have tried to increase knowledge a little bit my making a homepage of our own. So our finnish pages contacin lots of material from this beloved breed in general, it´s history, grooming, trimmig, health, special articles of some deseases etc.

We got our first dandie more than 10 years ago and ofcourse we don´t know everything (not even nearly!) about the breed....but we think that what we know is ment to be shared. So all this material is based on the knowledge and opinions we have at the moment....which means that they can change. :-) Tomorrow will bring new thingsand ideas and we learn more every day. So please, keep that on mind when you read these pages.

12.8.2008 Summer holidays are over and we are back to normal routine again.
During holidays we visited our summer cottage but also Minna travelled to Sweden to see World Dog Show 2008. She met several friends there and enjoyed her time very much. :-)

At the Dog Show itself finnish owned dandies did very well! Minna´s own travelling company included two dandies of which Mira´s father Pipari got World Winner -08 title and Ella´s half sister Milla got excellent and was third in her own class. Congratulations to them both, all partisipants and winners!
