Solakan Keijujen Kultaa - "Moona"

The puppy born first was a little bitch of 250 g. She was very lively right away. The small size did not bother her at all. She was like a snake when she wormed her way out under sister and brother. She managed well with them even though she was the smallest. And she for sure knew how to use her voice if needed. We have never heared a puppy to scream that loud when she didn´t like where she was.

From all these three puppies Moona was the one who started to open her eyes first. They were wide open on day 16. Also Moona was the one who started to use her legs first. She stared to move few days earlier than her sister. But anyway Moona was more calm than her sister. Actually she reminded us a lot about our own Ella!

Moona got her name "Fairies´ Gold" because she had very clearly overshot mouth from the beginning. Never mind the bite but she had charmed us immediately after she was born. So we knew that even though this little one would never be a show dog she would be pure cold for some one who could see her beauty. So pure cold she was - not real gold but the one fairies own. The one not all can see or belive in. We believed that out there would be a family for Moona who could see what kind of little treasure she was!

Moona is living with Laura and the cat called Viivi in Oulu. They share their apartment with their roomate Henna and she also has a dandie - pepper dog called Oiva. Moona tells about herself like this:

"I´m a young dandie girl with dignity. I can be strong headed if I happen to feel that way. And I´m quite picky what comes to my friends. So it takes time until a new friend becomes a very good one. But ofcourse there is no rule without any exception - as they say - especially when I´m in season ;-) At the moment my best friend is a dandie boy called Oiva who is also my roomate. At the begining I did not like Oiva much because he was so childish. But nowdays he can behave himself and does not smell like "puppy bacteria" anymore.

My dark chocholate coloured eyes will defenatly melt every heart ...also most of them who usually don´t like dogs much. I´m quite calm but sometimes I feel like getting a little grazy. It means that I run around and play. Usually these moments come in the evenings when we are going to sleep and I can jump into bed and play there. Also Oiva knows how to bring out my wild personality.

I love to roll rocks on summertime and snowbolls when it is winter. Balls are ok also, ofcourse, but there is not much challenge in them! It is absolutely too easy! That is how I started this hobby though but nowdays it is a piece of cake. So I have changed balls to rocks and snowballs. That is more difficult so I really have to work and think what I´m doing. Rocks and snowballs are not symmetric, if you know what I mean. I´m very good at rolling them to people so that they could throw them to me again ....and I could roll them back. If there would be a football team for dogs I would the the very best attacker!

I love outing but longlasting walks are quite boring. One just must think of something else to do than just walk when one has walked more than two kilometers. Luckily rocks can be found on the roadside...or else snowballs if it is winter. ;-) But only walking....no thanks... it just is sooooo boring! If I have to walk then I dive to the snow on the roadside (winter). That is also nice. On summertime I love to spend some time in water. I love the way waves feel and how sea breeze smells like. My owner Laura has given a name to this "activity". It is called "jossotys". I´m also very good at navigating so if Laura tries to make me to walk away from the direction where an outing park for dogs can be found I know immediately what she is up to! I´m not going to be fooled! I also know excatly where beach and river are.

Even though I love outing I´m almost always clean. No need to get paws muddy I think. Oh, and if it is raining I prefere to stay inside. Laura has tried to take me out for a walk many many times when it has been raining but I have refused to walk and she has had to drag me behind her ...which ofcourse means that I must refuse to walk totally or else walk slower than turtle! And if I walk I do it as near walls as possible to avoid wet coat! And after these outings I go under bed and sulk there for hours. And I only come away from there after I have forgotten why I went there in the first place! So no need to try to get me out by using some treats. That just doesn´t work!

I´m also quite talented in reading Laura´s mind. I decided to learn this skill when I found out that she wants to groom my coat or else give me a bath. It is good to be prepared so that one can dissapear before these things happen. If and when I´m get caught I think it is ok to be groomed or bathed but it is always worth trying! Maybe one day I can avoid those moments totally! After goorming or else bathing I may sulk a little but that goes over quite quickly. Treats won´t help in these situations either. I don´t like to look into eyes but I always turn my eyes away when I feel offended or else I´m sulking. Well, nowdays I forgive quicker than I did before. Perhaps it has something to do with the treats which have turned out to be better than they were in the old times. Just recently they have been really delicious ones so it is quite tempting to forget sulking...

Well, my owner says that I´m the most wonderful dog in the whole world - with all my good and bad qualities. And she even says that my strong headed and kind of human like personality is the very best in me. And she is not the only one who thinks like that about me and my personality. :-) "
